About the clinic...

Breath of life is a natural healing clinic in Portmarnock, Co. Dublin, Ireland. The clinic was set up in 1992 by Róisín O'Kelly with the aim of alleviating suffering/illness and improving the patient's quality of life. The ethos of the clinic is Christian: prayer and meditation are encouraged. Roisin herself is Catholic and believes strongly in the healing power of the Eucharist , Rosary and daily Mass. However, all religions attend and are very welcome.

Naturopathy...

Naturopathy is the application of many natural healing tools, combining those used for centuries with modern technological advances. The basic approach of naturopathy is to encourage the body to heal itself. The person is treated as a whole, working from the inside out, looking at the root cause of illness. Gentle detoxing and building the Immune system through nutritious food and healthy lifestyle is the aim. Additionally, the Naturopath educates and encourages the patient to take responsibility for and an interest in their own health. The Naturopath is complementary not alternative to conventional medicine. Good health is more than absence of disease. It is feeling good on a physical, mental and spiritual level and enjoying life to the full!

Naturopathy is particularly effective in treating:

· Fatigue, moodiness, poor vitality, low immune system
· Digestive, skin & respiratory problems
· Bone & muscle conditions
· Infertility
· Menopausal complaints
· High blood pressure, high cholesterol
Children respond quickly to treatment of recurrent colds, chest infections, skin and hyperactivity. Roisin has had good success in treating low energy, infertility, weight problems and children’s complaints.

 

About Róisín O'Kelly...

Róisín is married to Peter and has four children. From an early age, Róisín showed an aptitude and interest in healing and developed a deep faith in the power of prayer. She is a qualified general and children's nurse and midwife and has worked in the medical profession for fifteen years.

Her interest in complementary medicine started when her son, Ciarán developed very severe eczema at 6 weeks. His dry skin used to crack and bleed, was continually itchy and he was unable to sleep at night without medication. At the time, Róisín was working in children's ICU. To her dismay, nothing the experienced ICU doctors offered her son helped, and her search began. Roisin studied relentlessly looking for a cure for her son. After 12 years, there was still no improvement in the eczema.

Despairingly, Roisin asked friends and family to pray afresh for Ciaran who was due to start secondary school one week later. His skin was dramatically cured completely over a few days through the combination of prayer and complex homeopathy.

Róisín is now trained in Reflexology, Holistic Dietetics, Naturopathy, Herbalism, Counselling, Pastoral care and has studied many other forms of natural healing. Following her son's miracle, Róisín left nursing to help other people who did not find the answer to health problems in conventional medicine. Roisin is currently a herbal lecturer/tutor for the CNM (College of Naturopathic Medicine) and is the CNM Head of Herbal Medicine in Ireland.

Consultations...

There are four types of consultation available. A full healing programme spans 3 consultations. However, some patients prefer to take only one while others come back occasionally to maintain their vitality. Furthermore, consultations can be tailored to suit the individual. Depending on your preference, sessions can focus on diet, exercise, meditation, relationships, prayer, etc.

Full Assessment

Includes Bio-resonance test, dietary & lifestyle advice, Iridology, tongue & pulse diagnosis, prayer.

Sensitivity Test

Your system is tested for general vitality, food & chemical allergies and environmental pollutants.

Dietary Consultation

A healthy diet is tailored to the individuals needs. This can include advice for improved energy, weight loss, stress relief, immune-system building and blood group.

The Power Nap

Includes stress management, relationship counselling, prayer techniques, healing of memories and learning how to deeply relax, free from the stresses of everyday life. At this session, there is a ten minute meditation which the patient is encouraged to practice on a daily basis.
All sessions include natural medication advice, based on your assessment. This may include herbal complexes, homeopathy, aromatherapy, Bach flowers, celloids, dietary supplements, blood group diet advice. Each patient is an individual and is treated as such!
